Fraud Victim - MD - From Daily Express Comment Section

I too had a similar experience.

Bought the car from their sales court. Upon finding numerous faults, returned and was offered a full refund.

Money never arrived, all emails and calls ignored.

Lost £1200, please avoid this place.

I had a similar experience with Kingswood Autos - bought a vauxhall zafira that broke down almost immediately. The guy dealt with (who called himself Phil) took the car back and offered a refund, which never materialised. That was back in July. I've just had a judgement from the Court in my favour, but reading this I don't think I'll pay the £70 for the warrant.

From a bit of searching, it looks like he set up another company in February: https://goo.gl/NWo0eI

I purchased a car (mazda 323 £699) from Kingswood Autos over the internet, paid for delivery too (£31). It never came, I went to their forecourt at Two Mile Hill Road to discover the car was misrepresented, advertised with 60,000 on the clock, in fact it had over 91,000. Advert said it had a manual/electric sunroof, their salesman Phil McCarthy, Chigwaza's friend, said it was electric (difficult to tell from web photos), in fact it had none. Also the MOT advisory list was long and the brakes were shocking amongst other things. I said I wanted a refund, Phil claimed only the boss could do it (on Tuesday) and he (Chigwaza) was in Canada, he wasn't, at all.  Phil blamed all the advertising on the ex-Mrs Chigwaza. Needless to say Chigwaza failed to respond to our calls and emails so we went to small claims court. Chigwaza admitted the purchase but said KA had ceased trading, this was a lie. Even now he answers phone with "Kingswood Autos!". We won the CCJ judgement but he ignored it. We went for a Warrant of Control and got that but Bailiffs were reluctant to proceed (heaven knows why) and informed us that 4 other CCJs were outstanding against KA and Mr Chigwaza. We informed trading standards months ago and yet he continues to operate. We informed the police and they say its civil. This guy is about as innocent as a puppy sat next to a pile of poo, avoid Chigwaza and KA like the plague. If any other KA victims want to contact me then here I am on Facebook.

Yelp.com - Kingswood Autos - Company Review

Click on the Review Button to see original posting which is shown below:

If you want a reliable car that won't kill you DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM HERE!!!If you want a fair deal or you money returned,  DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM HERE!!! These well rehearsed con-men will sell you a car which may potentially fail to have crucial parts within it (i.e. bolts on a gear box, brakes pads, disks, a fully working clutch and hand brake or a fly wheel) This death trap is no worry to them though - and even if you do have the common sense to return it and ask for a refund, they will pull every single excuse from out of the depths of their arses and will make up a million and one "legal" loopholes as to why they cannot refund you. Stress and immense upset is the only thing you will gain from visiting this shoddy excuse of a business.  DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM HERE!!!
